Anthropic's Claude models are now generally available on Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, providing enterprise users with integrated billing and governance tools. However, the service lacks European data residency options, preventing organizations in strictly regulated sectors like banking and healthcare from utilizing the models due to data sovereignty requirements. While similar data protections exist for Claude via Amazon Bedrock and Google Vertex AI, they are not currently supported on this specific Microsoft platform.
