The web’s newest weapon against AI scrapers is a font
Researchers have developed ShieldFont, a typeface designed to disrupt AI data scraping by substituting characters with visually similar but computationally incorrect tokens. While the text remains legible to human readers, the distorted underlying data aims to degrade the quality of information harvested for machine learning training sets. This tool provides a method for website owners to protect their content from automated collection without altering the user experience.
