GlobalFoundries reaches agreement with U.S. Department of Commerce to boost AI

GlobalFoundries has entered a preliminary agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce to receive $1.5 billion in federal funding under the CHIPS and Science Act. This investment will support the expansion of domestic semiconductor manufacturing facilities to increase production of chips essential for artificial intelligence and automotive technology.
