LAION drops massive open video dataset with 10 million hours of footage for AI research
The non-profit research organization LAION has released Big Video Dataset, an open-source collection containing 10 million hours of video footage and 55 million auto-described clips. By providing this massive amount of training data, the release aims to improve the performance of artificial intelligence models capable of interpreting and generating video content. Initial testing suggests that models trained on this data outperform existing benchmarks, offering researchers a new standard for training large-scale multimodal systems.
