YouTube and X Have Become ‘Gateways’ to Nudify Apps

A study by the nonprofit Center for Countering Digital Hate indicates that YouTube and X are frequently directing users toward services that generate nonconsensual, sexually explicit deepfakes. These platforms often host promotional content or links that lead to sites charging as little as one dollar to create AI-altered imagery. This finding highlights how mainstream social media serves as a discovery mechanism for tools that facilitate digital abuse and the creation of nonconsensual intimate media.
