Microsoft says virtually nobody was grabbing NYT articles through its chatbot
Microsoft stated in recent legal filings that its Copilot AI tool rarely reproduces substantive portions of copyrighted material from news outlets or books. The company presented these findings to defend against ongoing copyright litigation brought by publishers, including The New York Times, who allege that the AI inappropriately replicates protected content.
