AI-generated stories rated better quality than human-written ones, study finds

A study from the University of Hagen found that participants frequently rated short stories written by AI as higher quality than those written by humans. When the origin of the text was concealed, readers struggled to distinguish between human and machine authors and showed a slight preference for AI-generated content.
