Foundry Model Router Expands from Two Regions to 28, Refreshing Its Model Pool

Microsoft has expanded the availability of its Foundry model router to 28 global regions and 21 data zone deployments. The update also refreshes the service's model pool by incorporating Opus 4.8 and GPT-5.6 while retiring four deprecated models. Default deployments will adopt these changes automatically, whereas users with configured subsets must manually add the new options to their existing environments.
