Gemini Robotics ER 2: powering robotics with video understanding, task orchestration, and multi-robot collaboration
Google DeepMind has introduced a new iteration of its Gemini Robotics AI model that enables humanoid robots to perform coordinated, whole-body movements. By moving beyond upper-body control to include limb and foot synchronization, this update aims to improve a robot's ability to reason through multi-step tasks in physical environments. This advancement represents a shift toward more capable physical AI, though it also introduces complex safety and coordination challenges for machines operating in human-centric spaces.
