Stanford Researchers Release Paper2Agent: Turning Research Papers Into AI Agents That Reproduce Results and Run on New Data

Researchers at Stanford have developed Paper2Agent, a system that converts academic research papers into interactive AI agents capable of reproducing study results. By transforming static findings into validated tools, the framework achieved a 91.2% success rate in answering questions across 74 papers. This development aims to bridge the gap between published research and practical application by allowing models to execute methods on new datasets, potentially increasing the reliability and utility of scientific literature.
