An AI system helped Pakistani judges clear massive backlogs at $38.50 return per dollar invested

A study involving 1,559 Pakistani judges found that the AI tool JudgeGPT increased case resolution rates by 6.3 percent. This efficiency gain, which translates to an estimated $38.50 return for every dollar spent, was only observed among judges who received direct, hands-on training. The findings suggest that technology can help alleviate significant judicial backlogs, provided that human practitioners are adequately prepared to integrate these tools into their workflows.
