Claude Code is the fastest agent framework but costs nearly three times more than the cheapest rival

A recent performance test by Composio comparing four agent frameworks found that Claude Code is the fastest option for completing real-world tasks but is nearly three times more expensive than the cheapest competitor. While success rates remained consistent across all frameworks, Claude Code incurred costs of $0.195 per task compared to $0.073 for OpenCode, despite utilizing fewer tool calls and output tokens.
