Google Shakes Up A.I. Leadership

Google is reorganizing its artificial intelligence divisions by merging its research groups, DeepMind and Google Brain, into a single unit called Google DeepMind. This consolidation aims to accelerate the development of the company's generative AI products to better compete with rivals like OpenAI and Microsoft. The new division will be led by Demis Hassabis, the chief executive of DeepMind.
