Researchers at Stony Brook Medicine found that using artificial intelligence to draft patient discharge summaries can increase the inclusion of key clinical information compared to manual entries. The study suggests that automating these documents could reduce the administrative burden on physicians while improving the consistency of medical records shared during care transitions.
