Meta Ran Hundreds of Ads Showing AI Child Sexual Abuse, NGO Says

The Tech Transparency Project reports that Meta Platforms Inc. displayed over 300 advertisements containing suspected child sexual abuse material on Facebook and Instagram this year. The findings suggest gaps in the company's automated ad-review systems, which failed to prevent the distribution of illegal content. Meta stated it has removed the identified ads and disabled the associated accounts, emphasizing its zero-tolerance policy regarding the exploitation of minors.
