Using AI for just 10 minutes erodes your ability to persist at hard things

Researchers from the University of California, Berkeley found that students who utilized AI tools for as little as ten minutes experienced a reduced capacity to persevere through difficult tasks. This study suggests that frequent reliance on automated assistance may undermine the development of individual problem-solving stamina. These findings indicate that while AI can provide immediate solutions, it might inadvertently decrease the cognitive resilience required for tackling complex academic or professional challenges independently.
