NVIDIA Introduces SoL-Pi: Auto-Research Loops That Cut Coding Agent Token Traffic by Up to 49%

NVIDIA researchers have introduced SoL-Pi, a set of four mechanisms for the open-source Pi coding agent developed through automated research across 535 environments. Testing on EdgeBench indicates that these improvements reduce token usage by nearly half and lower API costs by approximately one-third while maintaining 94% of the agent's original performance.
