AI data centers just got a government-mandated fast lane to the grid
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has directed grid operators to implement a priority interconnection process for data centers and other large-scale infrastructure projects. Consequently, the policy change may accelerate the approval process for new facilities without guaranteeing the actual availability of additional power capacity.
