Most major AI chatbots still lean left on political questions, even "anti-woke" models are no exception

A Washington Post investigation reveals that most prominent AI chatbots, including OpenAI’s GPT models and Elon Musk’s Grok, produce answers that lean toward left-leaning political perspectives. Despite being marketed with a focus on neutrality or an anti-woke ideology, even these specialized models frequently presented liberal-leaning arguments in testing. Google’s Gemini served as the primary outlier in the analysis. These findings highlight the ongoing challenge for developers in creating AI systems that provide balanced responses rather than reflecting the existing biases in their training data.
